Some of our unfinished hardwood includes engineered flooring. Engineered flooring, even when unfinished, is 100-percent wood but is designed to withstand heat without warping or expanding. Each piece of engineered hardwood has real wood on top – domestic, in the case of our unfinished varieties – and the base is nine-ply birch wood for a 5/8ths of an inch thick floor board. For our domestic unfinished engineered flooring, we have all basic woods in select and better and common grades, including red and white oak, hard maple, walnut, cherry, and hickory. For some variation, many of these unfinished engineered hardwoods have a rift and quartered cut.
